Invertibility of operators in interpolation scales and an old problem by J.-L.Lions
Abstract. I plan to discuss how recent results on invertibility of operators in real interpolation spaces can be used to solve a part of the difficult problem of
interpolation of closed subspaces. This problem was posed by J.-L. Lions in
the beginning of 1970s and remains unsolved in the general case.
The presented results were obtained jointly with Irina Asekritova and
Fernando Cobos.
